The Okavango Delta is one of Africa’s richest wildlife and wilderness areas. It is renowned for its luxury lodges but David’s safaris allow you to explore it away from all of that, to walk or ride deep into this magical water wilderness and to focus on what is truly important – to awaken your senses to the sights and sounds all around you. David and his wife Robyn believe the future for Africa’s wildlife lies with the local communities reaping financial benefits, so all their safaris involve hiring a team of local mokoro polers to move their lightweight camp. From this community they sponsor four students a year to tourism and wildlife colleges in South Africa.
MEET YOUR GUIDE
Born and raised in Africa, David feels incredibly privileged to have lived and worked in some of Africa’s most beautiful wildlife areas – the Kafue and Luangwa in Zambia, the Matusadona and Mana Pools in Zimbabwe and for 15 years he pioneered safaris in the Nyika National Park in Malawi.Botswana is now home with his wife Robyn and children. He loves having the Okavango Delta and Kalahari as his backyard! With 32 years of experience under his belt David is at ease as a guide using any mode of transport. But his favourite expedition-style itineraries in Botswana take you on foot or on horseback and will ensure you are immersed in the essence of Africa.
